Remember this before your appointment
Registration for appointments
Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. You can register through the OmaMehiläinen application, by showing your Kela card or identity card at the registration kiosk, or you can register at the service desk.
If you are using Mehiläinen’s services for the first time, you should register at the service desk. You will be given a form concerning the shared use of patient registers, which you can fill in while waiting.
If you have any respiratory tract symptoms, register with the OmaMehiläinen app, if possible.
Instructions for respiratory tract symptoms
For assessing mild respiratory tract infection symptoms, we recommend using Digital Clinic. We kindly ask you to postpone any non-urgent appointments until after a possible respiratory tract infection, if possible. Wear a mask (surgical mouth-nose cover) if you have respiratory tract infection symptoms.
Cancelling an appointment
Please cancel at least 24 hours before the appointment. If you fail to cancel an appointment or cancel it too late, you may be charged a fee.
You can cancel the appointment in the OmaMehiläinen app or by email via the cancellation link provided in the appointment confirmation message.

Frequently asked questions
In most cases, the final price for a doctor’s appointment can only be specified when all the necessary examinations and treatments have been completed.
You can see the average doctor’s fees in the price list. If you bring your Kela card to the clinic, the Kela reimbursement will be deducted from the final sum before you pay.

If you are paying for the doctor’s appointment yourself, you can pay:
- with a chip card, either as a debit payment directly from your bank account or as a credit payment. Magnetic strip cards can no longer be used.
- in instalments if the sum to be paid is large.
Please note that we do not accept cash payments.

The online system shows available appointments for every city and clinic. If there are no available appointments for your preferred time, the system will suggest the nearest location that has the next available times.

Certain Mehiläinen locations offer general practitioner’s services and acute injury care services that can be accessed without booking an appointment.
You can check if a clinic offers these services by going to the online booking service and typing “General practitioner” or “Acute injury care” in the “Service or specialist” field and your preferred location in the “Location or remote appointment” field.
