Hair should not be removed from the skin in the surgical area, as it may cause wounds and thus increase the risk of infection. If there are scratches, eczema, or redness on the skin in the surgical area, it is advisable to contact the hospital as soon as possible.
After anesthesia, you can eat and drink when you feel alert and do not have nausea. On the day of the procedure, your hydration is also taken care of intravenously, and you get painkillers.
