Mehiläinen's services continue as usual despite strikes in the healthcare sector
29.5.2024
Sote ry, the negotiation organisation for the healthcare and social services sector, has issued strikes warnings to the private healthcare sector for the end of May due to the collective bargaining situation. The potential strikes, lasting one day, will apply to imaging services on 28 and 30 May and to laboratories on 29 and 31 May.
The services will be available to you as usual
Doctors' appointments, procedures, operations, therapists' appointments, occupational health care services and digital services will continue their routine activities in Mehiläinen.
What happens to my appointment if it is booked for one of the strike days?
Any previously booked appointments will be valid. If we need to make changes to a previously booked imaging or laboratory appointment, we will contact the customer and offer an alternative appointment.
You can also book new appointments in the usual way: via our online booking system or our customer service. Despite the strikes, you can also book appointments for laboratory tests and imaging. You will be informed of any exceptions in our services when booking an appointment.
Strikes may affect the availability of some imaging and laboratory services
There may be temporary changes in some of our clinics' opening hours. The strikes may affect the availability of some MRI services and other tests. However, the aim is to ensure the availability of native x-rays, on-call laboratory tests and sampling despite the strikes.
Information on the opening hours of the diagnostic services can also be found on the website of each clinic.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused by the strikes to our customers.
