Individual programmes to support work ability and wellbeing
Preventive, health and work ability supporting programmes are an alternative way to support the employee alongside traditional office visits and are included in all our occupational health contracts that include the use of remote services.
Work ability and health promoting programmes in short
We offer 14 different work ability and health promoting programmes under different themes:
- Nutrition and weight management
- Mental well-being and sleep
- Physical activity
- Career start support
- Reducing substance abuse
The programmes last between 12 and 16 weeks, during which time the employee will receive support, exercises, tips and videos available on the OmaMehiläinen app. During the programmes, the employee is supported by an occupational health nurse, a mood coach, a sleep coach, an occupational health psychologist or an occupational physiotherapist. The need for a work capacity and health maintenance programme may arise, for example, during a health check, after which the occupational health nurse can start a programme for the employee.

What do the programmes contain?
Depending on the topic, the client will be supported by an occupational health nurse, a mood coach, a sleep coach, an occupational health psychologist or an occupational physiotherapist. All programmes include remote support and, for larger programmes, meetings with an occupational health professional, allowing for a more in-depth and personalised approach to the topic. The programmes are delivered through OmaMehiläinen app or online. The programme includes weekly tips, exercises and videos on different topics. All meetings can be organised as remote consultations.
How is the employee directed to the programmes?
Preventive, health and work ability supporting programmes are included in all occupational health contracts where remote services are agreed. The need for support may arise, for example, during an occupational health visit or health check-up. If the company has Wellbeing Radar, it can also be used to identify an employee's need for support. The employee can also contact the occupational health nurse via the new Support for lifestyle change chat in the OmaMehiläinen Digital Clinic. The form of support and the programme are always chosen according to individual needs.
