HJK Helsinki football club: Sports and Development Director Miika Takkula and HR Manager Laura Salmi
HJK Helsinki football club employs a dozen full-time and 200 other coaches, and has more than 3,000 players. HJK Helsinki, has been working long-term and determinedly for the development of Finnish football for more than 110 years. This includes the whole player path from junior football to the top of Finland, and the world. In addition, HJK offers a variety of services to companies, and runs, for example, an award-winning youth afternoon club. HJK wants to be a trail-blazer and pioneer, and this is supported by both Sports Mehiläinen and Mehiläinen Working Life Services.
-It is especially important for us that we have a simple and flexible partner who is an integral part of the players' development and that we have a flexible service that quickly examines the quality of the injury and gets the treatment process started if the player happens to suffer an injury. In this, we have successfully cooperated with Mehiläinen Sports Hospital, says Miika Takkula, Sport and Development Director at HJK.
-Sports clubs are becoming bigger employers and in that we want to be a flagship. It is important that Mehiläinen advises us and guides us. Mehiläinen helps us to do things more professionally, and that's a really big deal, says Laura Salmi, HR Manager at HJK.
