Occupational health care services
In acute illnesses, your employer may allow short absences with the permission of your supervisor, in which case a certificate issued by a physician or nurse is not required. Utilise this option in the first place. If you feel that you need help with your symptoms, healthcare professionals are at your service at the Digital Clinic Occupational Health Care Centre. In musculoskeletal diseases, you can book an appointment directly with an occupational physiotherapist. If your condition persists, book an appointment with your occupational health team professional.

You can use the Digital Clinic Occupational Health Care Centre 24/7 without an appointment, anytime and anywhere, to get help with any health-related symptoms and concerns you may have.
- The Digital Clinic Occupational Health Care Centre is open 24/7. Occupational health specialists are available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Outside these hours, general practitioners and nurses are at your service.
- Our services are available in Finnish, Swedish and English.
- Start using the service by selecting the topic of your concern.
- Then you will be asked to answer the questions in the automated well-being survey.
- Based on your answers, you will be directed to chat with the most suitable specialist.
- If your case cannot be handled remotely, you will be directed to a clinic.

Frequently asked questions about occupational health
As a rule, we invoice your employer directly for the occupational health care services included in your employer’s occupational health agreement. Please check the agreed payment method from your employer in advance. Please check the payment method from your employer in advance. For example, the practice may be that
- you show your identity card, staff card or payment commitment at the reception, in which case the payment is directly charged to your employer, or
- you pay for the appointment yourself and claim compensation from your employer afterwards.
If you have a payment commitment from your employer, please see the following instructions:
- Take the personal payment commitment with you when you arrive for your appointment. The payment commitment cannot be delivered afterwards. If you forget the payment commitment at home, you will have to pay for the appointment yourself.
- The payment commitment or service voucher must be valid on the date it is received.
- A payment commitment or service voucher can only be used for the service for which it was issued. For example, a service voucher for a general practitioner cannot be used for a specialist’s appointment.
Occupational health agreements and the employer’s payment commitment do not always cover the office fees, all examinations and procedures. Check with your employer which services are covered by your occupational health agreement. You can also get more information by calling our customer service number. If you use services that are not covered by your occupational health agreement, you must pay for the services yourself.
